Zeta Jean Smith, née Stickley, 91, of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 of natural causes.
Zeta was born March 25, 1934 in Laramie, WY, the daughter of Rollie A. Stickley and Ethel Holaday Stickley. The family moved from Wyoming to western Idaho when she was 12, and she graduated from Wilder High School, Wilder, ID and attended College of Idaho in Caldwell, ID.
Zeta married William Lavon Smith on May 2, 1953. They were married 53 years before Bill passed away in 2006. Zeta and Bill had 5 children: Stanley Smith (Mary), Tamara Mancuso (Mark), Zeric Smith, Nedra Olsen (David), Michalene Larsen (Tim). They were also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Zeta loved spending time with all the grand & great-grandchildren whenever possible.
Zeta was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also an avid quilter and doll collector, and she earned a certificate as a master doll maker. Zeta was a life-long cat lover and doted on her kitties.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 with a viewing at 9:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building at 908 Central Ave, Emmett, ID. Services will begin at 10:00 am. Burial, next to Bill, will immediately follow at Emmett City Cemetery. Those attending are invited to join the family for a luncheon at the ward building afterwards.
