Virginia (Keldsen) Kimball passed from this earth on Wednesday August 14, 2024. She was born in Emmett, Idaho, in March of 1939 where she lived her entire life. Although she frequently travelled, Emmett was her home. She was a graduate of Emmett High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Larry D. Kimball, and they were married for 66 years until his passing earlier this year.
Virginia was a wonderful homemaker and mother. While her children were small, she worked as an orchard boss for several fruit ranchers in the Emmett area, allowing her to be home with them during the school year. Later, she filled bookkeeping positions at various businesses in Emmett. She was employed by First Security Bank of Idaho, then Wells Fargo Bank for many years, until her retirement in 2004.
She loved gardening, planting flowers and tending her fruit trees. She loved being outside, soaking up the Idaho sunshine, and enjoying her beautiful backyard. She also enjoyed vacationing, baking, making fabulous meals, and spending time with her life-long friends, of which there were many. She adored her Boston Terriers, and nearly always had one nearby.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and greatly enjoyed researching family history.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christen and Margaret Keldsen; her brother, Dennis Keldsen; and her beloved husband, Larry. She is survived by her sister, Dawn Marie; her children, Kevin, Monte and Lisa; five grandchildren, Tyler, Brock, Samantha, Theresa and Katherine; as well as 12 great grandchildren, Tryston, Garret, Braden, Greyson, Haden, Chloe, Remi, Reyna, Brooks, Riley, Parker and Sadie.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel. On Friday, August 23, 2024 there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am and a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stake center. Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
