Vickie Lynn Darr

Vickie Lynn Darr, 75, passed away on October 3, 2023 at her home in Emmett, Idaho.  She was born on January 17, 1948 in Boise, Idaho to Eugene and Juanita Darr. 

  Vickie was a very well-educated registered nurse with a certification in Psychiatry. She was a great asset and caregiver in the field of medicine for over 30 years. Vickie was a very fiery Irish woman and protected those she loved. She honored her ethics and morals in the nursing field fiercely. She was an accomplished artist and seamstress in her spare time and loved animals from horses to puppies. Vickie’s first grandchild, Kyle, was the absolute apple of her eye and her first great-grandchild Kleo River was her little Angel and brought such a spark to her eyes.

 The last few years of her life, Vickie suffered with many medical issues which made her virtually home bound, but she still looked out for her family.  Family has always been her number one priority. She was the rock for many in her family and always the safety net for those she loved. Vickie was a true selfless Angel to those that knew and loved her, and she will be extremely missed.

 Vickie is preceded in death by her parents. 

 Vickie is survived by her daughter, Trinity Hussman and son, Karl Lakey; her grandchildren; Kyle Granden (Cierra Johnson), Ariel Granden (Griffin Young), Stefani Granden, Calli Hussman, Jordan Lakey, Tristan Lakey, and Hannah Lakey; and her first great grandchild Kleo River Young.

  Services for Vickie will be held in the Letha LDS Church on Saturday, September 14 at 5:00 PM.
