Tobby Stoltz Obituary

Tobby Alan Stoltz, 57, passed away on August 15, 2025, in New Plymouth, Idaho. Born on May 10, 1968, in Boise, Idaho. Tobby lived a life marked by resilience, determination, and a meticulous spirit that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Tobby was a graduate of Borah High School in Boise. He pursued further education at Clark County Community College in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tobby married Nicki Marie Rouen in 2012.
He was never one to shy away from a challenge or an opportunity to grow, and Toby later enrolled in prosthetics courses at Spokane Community College in 2015. This was a deeply personal endeavor inspired by his own journey following a life-altering accident. On November 14, 2011, while working for Bellos Construction & Roofing, Tobby suffered a devastating fall from a roof that resulted in the amputation of his leg. Rather than allowing this tragedy to define him, Tobby faced it head-on with courage and resolve. His decision to study prosthetics so he could build his own leg was emblematic of his tenacity and self-reliance.
Professionally, Tobby worked for AT&T installing fiber optics—a role that reflected both his technical skill and his commitment to precision. His work ethic and attention to detail were evident in every task he undertook.
Tobby is survived by his mother, Rita Jean Whipple; sister, Tracie Faye Helget; his half-sister, Celeste Higgins, of Florida (whom he was connected with through DNA tests and Ancestry com); his
Stepsons, Isaac and Josiah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steven Michael; grandmother, Opal Faye Michael; his biological father, Joseph Anthony Guardino; and his wife, Nicki Stoltz.
Those who knew him will remember not only his strength but also the meticulous organization that defined much of his daily life—a trait that spoke volumes about the care he took in everything he did. May Tobby’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
