Thomas Lee Olson Sr., 87, passed away on June 5, 2024, in Emmett, ID. He was born on June 29, 1936, in Warren, PA to Robert Harvey Olson and Evelyn Carry Rowley.
Tom attended South Street Elementary School, Beatty Junior High and Warren High School, in Warren PA. He served in the Army National Guard Reserves and had successful careers making Diamond Dies, in Forestry and in Logging, but his greatest passion was serving as a Minister. He found immense joy in the outdoors, hunting and creating scenic oil paintings on canvas.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol E. Olson; his brothers, James & Nancy Olson and Paul Hagerman; his sons, Thomas Olson Jr., Robert Olson, and John W. & Sherri Olson; his grandchildren, John B. Olson, Amanda & Thomas Christensen, Amelia & Zachariah Buck, and Erica & Nicholas Gillam; as well as his great-grandchildren, Devany and Adelynn Christensen, Joshua Lamberson-Adams, Alexis and Joanna Buck, and Sterling Gillam; along with many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harvey Olson; his mother, Evelyn Carry Rowley; his stepfather, Paul Elmer Hagerman; his brother, Robert Stephen Olson; and his great-grandson, Maximus Ezekiel Buck.
Tom was a kind and loving man with a fierce devotion to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife, Carol, of 66 years, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett, ID.
