Thomas Elbert Waldrop, known lovingly as Tom, was born on the 27th of May 1940, in Deming, New Mexico. He embarked on his heavenly journey on the 11th of July 2023. A man of faith and an active member of the Emmett Church of Christ, Tom's life was a testament to the scripture, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
Tom was a man of many passions. His love for country music from the 60’s and 70’s resonated through his extensive record collection. He loved to watch football, especially the Seattle Seahawks. He was a weekly patron at The Blue Ribbon. Tom was a self-employed well driller, owning Waldrop Drilling. His work was not only his occupation but a passion he pursued with dedication. His was a pilot in the 70's and 80's. His life was a beautiful blend of work, hobbies, and family. Tom's journey saw him residing in various cities from his birthplace in Deming, New Mexico to his final residence in Nampa, Idaho.
Thomas Waldrop is survived by his daughters, Jeannie Reinke, Lynda Smith, Lisa Crews and Cindy; his ex-wife, Sharlyn Waldrop and his brother, Charlie of Deming, NM. He now joins his parents, Charlie and Beulah Waldrop, and siblings, Thelma Minaach, Dalton Waldrop, and Bob Waldrop, in heavenly rest.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett. Viewing will be available prior to the start of services. Burial will follow services at the Emmett Cemetery.
