Terrence William Moore, 77, of Cascade, Idaho, died on February 7, 2025 following a spirited fight with cancer.
Terry was born in Osmond, Nebraska on Feb.13, 1947 to Clyde and Vivian Moore. He joined the Air Force in 1965 and was stationed in Glendale, Arizona, where he met and married the love of his life, Darlene Pruitt. He worked in trucking his entire life, and founded Moore Brothers Inc. in Norfolk, Nebraska, with his brother, Sid and nephew, Jeff. After retiring, he and Darlene moved to Cascade, Idaho.
Terry was a quiet man with a large life. He loved his semi-trucks and speedboats, planes and ATVs, motorcycles and campers. He entertained family and friends playing his guitar and singing country songs. He and Darlene crisscrossed America – they had to, to spend time with their many dear friends and their beloved daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids. They built their log cabin, Rambletree, by hand, and they spent most of their time together in the great outdoors.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Moore. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; his daughters, Noel Lessard, Kate (Paul) Faerber, Dani (Todd) Smith, Charity (Joe) Aldridge, and Lain Walburn; his brothers Steve Moore and Sid (Tonda) Moore; thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. His many nieces, nephews, and friends, young and old, were also very dear to him. He will be honored at a memorial service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cascade on Feb. 22, 2025 followed by a celebration of life in Nebraska on Father’s Day weekend.
