Taylor Summers Obituary

Taylor MacKenzie Summers of Boise, Idaho unexpectedly passed away on July 22nd, 2021 at the young age of 15 years old.

Born June 5, 2006 at 2:46 PM to Bobbi Quinton and Steven Summers at Saint Luke's hospital in downtown Boise, which became a special day she shared with her uncle, Kyle Sexton and great grandfather, Jerry Sexton.

Taylor was the cutest brown-haired, green-eyed baby you ever did see. She was her mom's mini in every way from her sense of fashion to her energetic personality. She could light up the room and was always a joy to be around. She loved to make others laugh and was a fierce protector of her siblings and cousins.

Taylor attended preschool at Children's Academy where her teacher was her great-grandmother. She also attended Hawthorne Elementary, Heritage Middle school, South Jr. High, Emmett Junior High, and Lighthouse in Twin Falls.

Taylor was athletic and had a love for sports like basketball, track, and volleyball which she played at the schools she attended. She had just made the varsity girls team at Lighthouse before she passed. Taylor also had a love for music where she played the clarinet and sang in the schools’ choir.

Taylor was a social butterfly and had no problem making friends wherever she went. Taylor would almost always be found playing with people's hair and would do her younger siblings’ and cousins’ hair as well as her own. Taylor loved her family and friends and was always the person you could count on to be there or help in any way she could. She also had a little bit of a countryside to her and loved horses and her cowboy boots that she would proudly rock.

Taylor will always be remembered for her infectious smile, vibrant personality, and her giving and loving nature. She most certainly will be forever missed. Taylor is survived by her mom, Bobbi Quinton; siblings, Tristan, Tatum and Kyler; aunts, Jennifer Sexton, Heather Milligan, Robin Warner; uncle, Owen Milligan; grandparents, Daryle and Tami Sexton, great grandparents, Bob and Patsy Gardner and Susie Sexton; cousins, Shawn, Jason, Emilee, Braiden, Audrey, Alyssa, Jasper, Blake, and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her sister, Taryn Quinton; cousins, James Milligan and Colten Boyd; uncle, Kyle Sexton; great grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Morton and Jerry Sexton.

We would love to thank the wonderful Twin Falls Diving and Rescue Team, Nancy (Victims Coordinator) and her husband for showing our family that helping find Taylor wasn't just a "9 - 5" job and put their lives on hold until Taylor was found. Also, Rosenau's funeral home for keeping Taylor until she could be reunited with her sister, Taryn.

Services for Taylor will be jointly held with her sister, Taryn, who was found deceased April 15th, 2021. This combined service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at the Engage Boise Church (270 E. Pennsylvania) in Boise. Burial will follow at the Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise. Services are being jointly cared for by the Rosenau Funeral Home of Twin Falls and the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
