Stephen "Steve" Neel

   Steve passed away January 6, 2024, in Emmett, ID. He was born November 1, 1965, in Oakland, CA, to Ray Dwight Neel and Ruby Marlene Neel.  
   Steve had a very hard start in life and the challenges he faced as an innocent baby made for a very challenging life. It was a miracle he survived at all. Those birth traumas would affect everything about him. 
   With early medical interventions, years of rehabilitation, and therapy along with the love of our family and the support of the Reno First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he was able to rise up and meet the challenges of life.
   In spite of it all he lived on his terms and seemed to enjoy himself.  
   He was fun loving, fearless and one of the most authentic people I knew. He loved his family, his dogs, fishing and his loyal friends.
   Steve is survived by his sisters Mary Pozzi of Santa Clara, CA and Kathy Ruff of Oakridge OR. 
Steve will be cremated then laid to rest in Reno, NV.
