Sharon O'Neal Obituary

On March 30, 2024 our Heavenly Father took our Beautiful Matriarch to another place.  She passed away peacefully at home in Emmett, ID.  She loved her family and friends and always wanted them to know that.  If you were in her circle, you were Family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Wynne; her mother, Doris Wynne and her brother, David Wynne.
She is survived by her husband Gary; four children, Dean Bouttu, David Hutt, Joanna Hoodman and Grant Ward; three grandchildren, Jacob (Kim) Hoodman, Nathan (Amber) Hoodman, and Hanna Hoodman; four great grandchildren, Hunter, Melanie, Sawyer and Jameson; three nieces, Sherri Mazza, Robin Wynne, Trisha Mazza; nephew, Chuck Wynne, and sister-in-law, Alice Wynne.
Sharon lived her earlier years in Kellogg, ID and the surrounding areas.  She performed in a band with her brother and they played their music all over the Idaho and Washington area.  Her passion was Country Music but she dabbled in Rock and Roll as well.  Her and her brother even cut a record, each one getting a side of the 45.  She never missed a beat to jump up on stage and perform, bringing so much entertainment to those listening.
She later followed her brother to Bishop, CA where she met and married her husband, Gary.  She bar tended a little on the side and made some lifelong friends.  She was a good listener and often those with heavy hearts would leave feeling much more optimistic.  Though she and her brother stopped performing, they still did a little "pick'n and grinn'n" at family get togethers.  The memories will forever be etched in our hearts.
Sharon and Gary settled in Emmett, ID where they have remained.   They have shared 39 years of marriage together.  Sharon was able to continue her passion for music playing with her beloved guitar player, Dick and her beautiful friend, Josephine for many years.  Sharon found a new passion in Gospel Music and played at many nursing homes in Emmett and nearby areas.  She brought so much hope and joy to so many of the broken and weak.  Sharon absolutely enjoyed playing for these people and ministering to them through her love of music.
Sharon had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She would say that each one of them holds a special place in her heart.  She said that place is just for them, a corner of her heart in which no one else could occupy.  She loved watching them all grow into their own person, each one different and each one such a blessing to her.  Her heart was filled with the love she carried for all of them.
Sharon loved her nieces and nephew as well.  She was a big part of their lives growing up.  She has kept a special bond with two of her nieces throughout the years. She made sure they always knew they were loved by her.
Sharon's faith and love for the Lord was unwavering.  She read her Bible daily, prayed often and always praised God for all he had done in her life.  Sharon beat lung cancer and never missed a beat to thank the Lord for his miracles! Through all her own trials, Sharon often posted inspirational messages to give hope and light to the those broken and surrounded by darkness.  She loved to talk about Jesus and all his blessings.
Thank you Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Auntie and Friend for all the life lessons you have taught us; for all the love you have given us; for all the memories we have. There is an emptiness now that you have left, though we know you are no longer in pain, no longer suffering, we are saddened.  We will always keep you in our hearts, your own special corner no one else can occupy and we will forever cherish the many memories you have given us.
