Sharon Holford Obituary

Sharon C. Holford (Pulley), age sixty-seven, of Emmett, passed away in Caldwell, Idaho, November 18, 2021. Sharon was born in Emmett, Idaho to Jim & Carol Pulley in 1954.

Forty-five years ago, Donovan Holford hired Sharon as a Home Maker One for Western Idaho Community Action, a program that cared for and assisted the elderly and handy cap seniors in Gem, Boise, and Valley Counties. They were later married on November 18, 1977. Together they raised their four children and helped raise five others over the years. During her life, Sharon was devoted to her family and community. Over the years she was a Girl Scout leader, PTA President, and served on the Emmett School Board (9 years). She volunteered her time in concessions for the Emmett High school sports and Gem County Fair board for several years. She was an active member in the Beta Signa Phi sorority and taught preschool for thirty-seven years at Discovery Preschool. She helped organize the Emmett Valley Coalition to feed the poor, where she prepared and served the meals. Sharon also catered the Emmett Retired Teachers Association luncheons for several years. Sharon was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and held many roles within the church while serving the community. Sharon stood as a guardian angel over her family, church, friends, schools and community and will be greatly missed.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Donovan; children, Cindy Holford, Bryan Holford, Melissa (Chad) Knee, and Kimberley (Eric) Argo; siblings, Janet Baker, Twila (Verlyn) Townsend, and Jimmy Pulley; grandchildren, Dallas (Christina) Henry, Falyn Henry, Devon Holford, Paxton Knee and Anniston Knee.

Services will be held in Emmett at the Potter Funeral Chapel, December 3, 2021, at 11:00 am. A celebration of Sharon’s life will follow with a pot-luck luncheon at the Emmett First Presbyterian Church, 212 E 3rd Street.
