Russell D. "Russ" Campbell

 Russell D. Campbell, 86, passed away February 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 7, 1936, to Doke and Della Campbell and raised in Emmett. He married his high school sweetheart, LaVerne Hope January 5, 1957, and they went on to raise five children. He built People’s Financial Services, a successful insurance/investment company which is now being run by Scott McGann.

 Russ was an active member of his community serving on the Planning and Zoning Board, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Gem County Golf Association, and was instrumental in passing the Gem County Jail Bond. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and his beloved wife LaVerne. He is survived by his children Cassi, Carri, Cammi (Rick), Trina (Mark), Craig (Michelle), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 Russ had many lifelong friendships that were with him right up to the end.  He truly treasured you, and we thank you!  A special thanks to Meadowview Assisted Living and Heart ‘N Home Hospice for the compassion and kindness given to our father.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Scooter’s Youth Hunting Camp (P.O. Box 807, Emmett, Idaho 83617) or St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Emmett

 Per Russ’s request, there will be no public service.  Arrangements are in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
