Royal Von Puckett passed away on June 3, 2024, in Eagle, ID, with his devoted wife, Carolyn, by his side. Royal was born on January 29, 1947, in Boise, ID, to Loyal and Ann Puckett.
Royal lived all his life in the Eagle area. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1966 and then attended Boise State College. He met his future wife, Carolyn Mitchell, while working as a security guard for St. Alphonsus Hospital, where she worked as a respiratory therapist. They were wed on January 26, 1973, and married for 51 years. Royal served his community, first as a police officer for the Emmett Police, and then in the farming industry as a foreman at Quong's Vegetable Ranch.
An avid outdoorsman, Royal found joy in hunting and fishing. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his enthusiasm for collecting coins and comic books. Royal enjoyed the excitement of searching for rare coins and comics, forming connections and friendships with enthusiasts from all corners of the globe along the way. Additionally, he was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Royal was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal and Ann Puckett, and his son, Jeremy Von Puckett. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Puckett; his stepdaughter, Angelia (Jeff) Stiles; and their children, Jacob, Chase (Shanell), Alexandra, and Kaden. Though he has left this world, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Memorial services to celebrate Royal's life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Potter's Funeral Chapel, Emmett, ID.
