Roy Maxwell Obituary

 The family of Roy Maxwell is beyond saddened to announce his passing on July 24, 2025 at his home in Emmett, Idaho surrounded by his family.
 Roy was born on November 13, 1954 in Caldwell, Idaho to his parents Kirby and Florence (Owens) Maxwell. Roy was the youngest of 5.
 Roy grew up in Middleton, Idaho and attended school there. After High School Roy started working at several different jobs from feedlots, welding, construction companies. In 1977 Roy found his true passion in Irrigation and water management when he took a job with black canyon irrigation district where his skills in heavy equipment operation and managing people truly shined. In 1989, Roy moved to Emmett, Idaho to take the position of Manager at Emmett Irrigation District and held that position until 2010. In late 2010 Roy went back to where his career started at Black Canyon Irrigation District in Notus, Idaho as the manger until his retirement in 2019. 
 Roy met the love of his life Peggy Ann in 1995, and they were married on September 28, 1996. Roy and Peggy raised their family in Emmett. Roy enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and snowmobiling. Roy loved spending time with his family and friends. 
 Roy is preceded in death by his parents Kirby and Florence; and his brothers, Curtis, Charles and Robert Maxwell. 
 Roy is survived by his wife Peggy Maxwell, who he shared 29 years full of memories with. He is also survived by his 4 sons Jeromy (Alisa) Maxwell, Chad (Jessica) Draper, Chase (Britni) Coles, and Colby (Amanda) Coles; grandchildren Kennedy, Novally, Karley, Elijah, Lola, Wila, Neyla and Harper.
 Roy was a great father and a friend to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
 A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, ID at 1:00 PM with burial at the Emmett Cemetery following.
