Roger Alan Heimbuck, 79, passed away in Emmett at Meadow View Assisted Living on September 3rd, 2023. He was born on November 30, 1943 to Harry and Daisy Heimbuck in Bridgeport, Nebraska. He was the oldest of four children. Harry and Daisy moved their family to Emmett, Idaho when Roger was twelve.
He attended Parkview Junior High and Emmett High School where he lettered in Basketball. Shortly after he was hired at Hoff Lumber Company which later became Boise Cascade. He had several jobs through the years but retired from Boise Cascade as a millwright. He went on to work part time for Home Base in the tool corral until the Boise store closed. He then worked for Gem County at the J.A.G facility until his final retirement.
Roger’s third marriage (Dorothy Stephens) blessed him with the birth of his two children Tammy and Alan. Roger and Dorothy divorced in 1980. Shortly after he met the love of his life, Fayne Mooney. It took him almost six months to talk her into going on a date with him, but she finally said yes. He swept her off her feet and was very persistent, they were married five months later on March 20, 1981. With this marriage, God blessed him with two more children, Perry and Jeannette.
Roger was a hard worker, a devoted husband to Fayne, a loyal friend, and a beloved dad. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family. He had a big laugh, twinkling eyes and was very charming.
He and Fayne traveled often to visit their oldest son Perry and his family. Perry and Connie are career military and they happily trooped off to visit them wherever they were stationed. They also traveled extensively and often with other family members and friends. Roger and Fayne bought a camper in 2012 and began camping as well. Whether they were in the mountains or on a road trip, they loved their adventures in the camper.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents (Harry and Daisy); his brother, Gary (Butch); and his sister, (Connie Bruner). He is survived by his wife Fayne; children, Perry (Connie) Mooney, Jeannette (Tim) Adams, Tammy (Chris) Wolf, Alan (Tina) Heimbuck; sister, Kathy (Al) Shaw; numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, great nieces, and great nephews.
