Rodon "Don" Hertzig Obituary

   Rodon "Don" Wynn Hertzig, 74, of Emmett, Idaho, went to hell and back, then to glory on May 27, 2023. Don was born on June 27, 1948, in Wardner, Idaho, to John Eldon Hertzig and Bertha May Anderson. He spent his early life in and around Kellogg, Idaho. Don enjoyed being a farm hand in Idaho Falls and Plain City, Utah.

   Don married Deon Archibald on August 31, 1974, in Willard, Utah. The love of their lives was their dogs, in particular, Lady. Don and Deon spent most of their married lives in Brigham City and Ogden, Utah. In his free time Don enjoyed fishing, cutting up deer, camping, working on old cars and being with friends and family. Don was especially good at playing with the little kids and sharing a sense of humor. He loved listening to the radio and old Gospel CD's. You could often hear him laughing and talking while he was watching his collection of old movies.

   Don and Deon were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 9, 2014.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

   Don is survived by his spouse, Deon; 5 sisters; 1 brother and lots of nieces and nephews.

   A viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett, Idaho.

   Graveside Services will follow at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Emmett Cemetery, Emmett, Idaho.
