Robert Glenn "Bob" Blazor, 74, passed away at his home in Emmett, ID. on Sunday afternoon, September 8, 2024. He was born to Eddie Ray and Doris Elva Blazor on March 18, 1950 in Okmulgee, OK. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Doris Blazor; his brother, Rickey Lynn Blazor; and his ex-wife, Kim Dee Hayworth. His later years were plagued by serious health issues. Even so, he always managed to live life his way and never lost his zeal for life!
Bob graduated from Payette high school in 1970. He moved to Emmett, ID about 1990 and lived there for the rest of his life. Bob’s primary employment was as an over the road truck driver. He also worked as a mechanic. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and making his famous HOT SALSA. He always claimed his salsa was the very best ever made and he bet you couldn’t eat it. He loved dogs and usually had a loyal puppy dog by his side. He enjoyed looking at and restoring classic cars.
Bob was an enormously talented guitar player and played a number of other instruments as well. He was a great brother and friend that helped those who truly were in need. Everyone who knew Bob would say that he was “one of a kind”; a true original! He had tons of friends, many of whom would stop by his house to jam or work up new songs.
Bob is survived by a sister, Linda Blazor; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Blazor; three nieces and seven nephews. He will be missed by family and numerous friends around the valley.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Emmett City Park bandshell. Please bring your lawn chairs and your musical instruments because there will be a jam session in honor of Bob. Lunch will be a potluck. Please bring your favorite dish to share.
