Ricky Jay Waltman, 64, passed away at St. Luke’s in Meridian, Idaho on Sunday January 17, 2021. Rick was born to Jim and Gene Wallace on December 27, 1964 in Nampa, Idaho where he was raised.
Ricky received his education in Nampa where he graduated high school. Rick was in the Marines. He attended college where he received many certificates to learn and become a mechanic. Rick loved being a mechanic and he made a career doing what he loved. He worked for Commercial Tire for many years and adventured out to have his own shop a couple of times. Rick was known for his gift of building motors. He could build a motor for stock or high performance.
Rick enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hunting, golf, BBQ’s, horseback riding and ATV’s. In his later years he loved to go with Annie to Crouch, Idaho where they went on many adventures.
In a prior marriage, Rick was blessed with his beautiful daughter, Bree, his only child. After meeting his love, Annie Trees, they got married in Sweet, Idaho. Rick’s family grew by adding two stepdaughters. Rick and Annie were married for 17 years during which time they had many adventures together. They both enjoyed the same things.
Rick could be strong headed, but he will be remembered by his smile, his willingness to help anyone who needed it, his stories and his all-so famous saying, “get er done”.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Gene Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Annie Waltman; daughter, Bree (Ralph); sister, Kathy Floyd; brother, Gale Waltman; stepdaughters, Shannon Edwards and Ribbon Driscoll, 11 grandchildren and 12, great grandchildren as well as numerous family members.
Memorial services for Rick will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Chapel.
