Ralph Laverne Hayes
July 19, 1930 ~ October 19, 2023 (age 93) 93 Years Old
Ralph Laverne Hayes went home to Jesus on October 19, 2023, at the age 93.
Ralph was born to Harry and Emma Hayes on July 19, 1930, in Lunds Valley, ND. He was raised in the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot where his father worked. He attended elementary school in Lunds Valley and High School in Powers Lake, ND.
After graduating high school Ralph worked for the Great Northern Railroad in ND and in 1950 enlisted in the US Army serving in the Korean War. After an Honorable Discharge from the Army he returned to Stanley, and again worked for the railroad. Ralph met his wife Janet in 1958. They married August 23, 1959. After marriage Ralph and Janet moved to Utah where he worked as a carpenter and raised four children, Linda, Kari, Kipton, and Tamera. He later took a job as a sheet-metal mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. The family moved to Coeur d’Alene, ID, where he again worked as a carpenter until he retired. Ralph and Janet made their retirement home in Emmett, ID.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Ralph also enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, pinochle, and woodworking. Throughout Ralph’s entire life, he believed in God and life everlasting, which he shared with Janet and family.
Ralph joins his parents, Harry and Emma Hayes, and daughter, Linda LaVoy Hayes, in Heaven.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Kari (Jeff Gray) Oeser, and Tamera (Larry) Rich; son, Kipton (Michelle) Hayes; grandchildren, Karl, Samantha, Nathan, Joshua, Keaton, and Calvin; great-grandson, Gaig, his sister, Noreen Freece, and brother, Harland Hayes; along with nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 12:30 PM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Community Bible Church, Emmett, Idaho. A Private Inurnment will be held at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery, Boise, ID.
