Phyllis Moore Obituary

Phyllis J. Moore, of Emmett Idaho passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 81, at St. Luke’s Nampa Medical Center from Covid-19.

Phyllis was born in Carson City, Michigan to Maynard (Rocky) and Esther Rochester on June 3, 1939.  After graduating from Carson City High School in 1957, Phyllis moved with her parents to San Diego, CA where she met and married, Ray Boese.  Together, she and Ray had three boys, Richard, Randall, and Raymond.  She lost her husband early in their marriage in 1975.

In 1990, Phyllis remarried her beloved husband, Steve Moore.  She was Steve’s Chickadee.  Phyllis retired from the City of San Diego as Payroll Specialist, where she was lovingly known as “Mom” to the San Diego Life Guard’s staff.  After retirement, Phyllis and Steve fell in love with the beauty of Emmett and the bluffs that surround the area and decided to make Emmett their home.

Phyllis was known by many for her loving and caring nature.  She was a giving and selfless woman who loved the Lord and others with all her heart.  She enjoyed group Bible studies and served as church deaconess where she is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Emmett.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Steve Moore and her two sons, Randall Boese and Raymond Boese of Boise.

A memorial service will be held at a later time when it’s safer to congregate together.  Please go to potterchapel.com to share memories of Phyllis to be enjoyed by family and friends.
