Patricia Ann Jones (1942 - 2024) peacefully passed away surrounded by many loved ones in a comfortable place.
Tricia was happily married for 65 years to the love of her life, Jc Jones; gave birth to six beautiful children; Baby Jones, Casey Jones, Catherine Clegg, Keith Jones, Kevin "Jake" Jones and Guy Jones; she is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 22 great, grandchildren. She truly built and left a legacy of love which will echo into the eternities.
Patricia was creative and talented. She was an accomplished oil painter who could work with canvas and woods, seamstress and make and fix anything for her loved ones.
She was a tremendous athlete who played all kinds of sports but especially loved volleyball; and she played volleyball well into her 50s. She loved nothing more than bringing her sons to the court and teaming up to watch them fly around and compete.
While her children boxed, she couldn't simply watch, so she earned certification and became an official for the AAU Boxing League. She faithfully travelled with her husband across the country to many events and vigorously cheered her son as he became the third ranked champion in the United States.
Patricia drove her daughter and her daughter's friends in the family van to Cheer, Drill Team, Treble Tones (choir) and was a favorite among the girls.
She taught her children and grandchildren to swim and dive, to run and dance; to be active and always do their best. She danced with her son and loved it when he would call and sing to her.
For a time, folks couldn't leave her home without first listening to one of her children sing, and exiting visitors were always pleasantly surprised.
She sang like an angel and never missed an opportunity to participate in choir. She passed her musical genes on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three of her grandchildren attended the prestigious, Boston Berklee, College of Music. Her offspring can often be found performing somewhere, and she never missed the chance to watch her son play his guitar. It soothed her as she quietly listened.
She had an amazing sense of humor and not only laughed, but made others laugh too. She instilled humor into her son, who could make her laugh even through difficult times.
Patricia was particular about her appearance and taught her children to show respect for others by being presentable.
Trish's favorite scripture was Proverbs 3: 5-7, and she could often be heard quoting it. She also stated to her children as they would leave the house, "Remember who you are and stand in holy places."
She was blessed with the gift of love among many others, so she had an easy way about herself which made everyone feel like they had been her friend for life.
Her loyal husband and her were nominated (by her grandchildren) and awarded “Grandparents of the Year" while they lived in California. Her grandchildren adored her, and she could often be found attending a grandkid's event... Even with so many offspring, she never forgot a birthday and always made them feel special.
Immediately after the birth of each grandchild, she made them a Christmas Stocking in their image. Every year, she made Christmas Ornaments for each of her grandchildren and did so well into each grandchild's teenage years.
She was spirited yet benevolent, full of life and always kept her husband on his toes.
Her teachings were those of personal responsibility and fairness. She valued education and instilled that in her family having one grandson who has become a university professor.
She was charitable for the sake of others and lived her faith in Christ and always remembered Him. She volunteered and was an ordinance worker in more than one temple and continued to do so until she was physically unable.
She was never concerned about how much time she had left, but rather what good she could do with the time she was given.
She was loved so deeply and completely that her entire family longs to see her again and wishes nothing more than to live in such a way that they assuredly will.
More than a woman, a daughter of God and a daughter of Christ.
