Ollie Todd Jr. Obituary

Ollie Todd Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 29, 2026.
Ollie was born on July 5, 1942, in Edwight, West Virginia, to Ollie Todd Sr. and Ernestine Todd. In 1952, his family relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where he was raised. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work—an ethic that defined his life.

Ollie married Rebecca Chattos in 1960, and together they had five children: Troy, Mark, Mike, Becky, and Gina. They later divorced. In 1971, he married Marcia Graves, and they moved west to Boise, Idaho, where they later welcomed their daughter, Elyse, in 1984. As time went on, he married Kathy Sisk in 1994 and together they built a life in Cascade, Idaho.

Ollie began his career as a mechanic in Ohio and continued in Idaho, working for the Boise School Bus Company and later as a driver for Pacific Trailways. He eventually settled in Sweet, Idaho, where he founded Ollie Todd & Sons, a log truck business that reflected his strong work ethic and pride in working for himself.

Outside of work, Ollie loved the outdoors—riding dirt bikes across the desert, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was especially known for desert racing and was honored as a “Desert Legend” by the Southern Idaho Desert Racing Association (SIDRA). He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: campfires, gathering firewood, and walking or riding four-wheelers with his dogs while scouting for dead red fir trees.

Ollie was, in every sense, “a man’s man”—honest, hardworking, and known for his great sense of humor. He often took in wandering stray cats, giving them fitting names—like one he called “Treetop.”
In May 2024, his family was blessed with the discovery of his son, Jason Kowalczuk, through 23andMe. Jason was welcomed with open arms.

Ollie is survived by his children: Troy Todd, Gina Todd, Elyse Todd, and Jason Kowalczuk; his grandchildren: Kodie (Sage) Todd, Lacey (Dustin) Kerr, Nancy, Danilla, Jack, and Bearen Kowalczuk; and 2 Great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Swincher, Linda Hann, and Sandy Taylor, and his brother, Gary Todd.

He was preceded in death by his children, Mark, Mike, and Becky, and his brothers, Marv Todd, Jim Todd, and Randal Russell.
Ollie had a deep love for his family. To those who knew him best, one phrase will forever echo: “Love you more.”

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Jen, Megan, Richard, and Julie with Heart and Home Hospice for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Hall in Cascade, Idaho located at 105 E. Mill St. Cascade, Idaho 83611.
