Nathan Lucas Legg, 40, of Emmett Idaho, died January 15, 2021. The Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Letha Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Nathan was born on August 28, 1980 in Nampa, Idaho to Tom and Faye Legg. He was the fifth son to join the family. He grew up in Emmett, Idaho. His growing up years was spent with cousins, swimming, fishing, hunting and probably a few things we do not want to know! His relationships with his cousins continued on in adulthood. Along with his brothers, they shared a bond that could not be broken.
He graduated from Emmett High School in 1999. He completed his LDS mission in California. He then moved to Rexburg. That was where he met the love of his life, Laura Peacock. They married on June 1, 2007. Their closeness and love for one another stayed true and strong. They spent seven years in Hawaii. They both loved the water. Nathan loved to dive deep waters, spear fish, surf, cookouts on the beach and the weather! In 2018 they moved back to Emmett, Idaho. They started their family. Newt was born April 17, 2020. Nathan adored and loved him so.
Nathan loved dogs and began his passion raising and training pointers. They have Idaho Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. Hunting with his dogs was a great joy. Chukar hunting all over, watching the fruits of his labor come to life as the bird was retrieved. He enjoyed all outdoors. Loved any type of hunting. He loved spending time with all the family. He helped anyone that needed it. Nathan was our Shining Star. His conversations lifted you up or made you think. His smile was contagious and his eyes danced. The softness he could show was as amazing as his strength. Nathan, you are missed beyond measure and loved beyond the moon.
Nathan is survived by his wife and son, Laura and Newt Lamar Legg. His father, Tom Legg. Siblings, Brandon Legg, Justin and Misty Legg, Sam Legg, Matthew Legg, Daniel Legg, Joe Legg and Angeline and Tim Morgan. Nathan’s cousins in which he loved dearly and numerous Uncles, Aunts, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Legg.
