Monte Christen Kimball

  Monte Christen Kimball, 66, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026.  He was born to Larry Dwight Kimball and Virginia Kimball in Emmett, Idaho in 1960.  He was raised in Emmett and graduated from Emmett High School.  After graduating from the Devry Institute Of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona, he embarked on his electronics career at TRW where he developed and oversaw national defense and communications systems for the United States Government.  He retired from Northrop Grumman in 2014.  Throughout his career he moved for contract assignments. Some of his significant relocations included Redondo Beach, California; Stuttgart, Germany; Salado, Texas; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Kuwait.   He returned to Idaho after he retired.
  Monte loved cooking, particularly Thai cuisine.  He took cooking classes, explored new recipes, and developed his own recipe collection cookbook.  He enjoyed traveling, particularly to Thailand, as well as areas around Europe, including Poland to buy authentic Polish Pottery.  He also loved growing and nurturing bonsai trees.  Monte’s greatest passion was his beloved cats.  He leaves behind his two devoted cats, Harley and Jimmy, who will greatly miss his care, kindness, and constant companionship.
  Monte will most be remembered for his gentle, thoughtful, and kind demeanor.
  Monte was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his brother, Kevin Kimball and sister, Lisa (Paul) Ennis.
  Graveside services will be held at the Emmett Cemetery, Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
