Milt Alley Obituary

Milt Joseph Steve Alley, 27, of Garden Valley, Idaho, and Delta Junction Alaska passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2022, due to a car accident with his best friend and dog, Red, at his side. A tragedy that made a community stand together as a whole and clearly affected everyone who ever met him.

Milt was born on February 14, 1995, to Monte and the late Shannon Alley. This day was extra special because not only was it Valentine’s Day, it was his dad’s birthday too.

He attended both Garden Valley and Delta Junction Schools. He lived in Delta Junction, Alaska before returning to his final home in Garden Valley, Idaho.

He was an avid outdoorsman and felt most comfortable in the back country exploring, hunting and trapping. He loved spear fishing and taking his nephew, Gatlin, along with him. Milt was a kind-hearted young man who went out of his way to help friends, family, and neighbors. Even though shy and reserved, he was always seen with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. Milt was known for his determination and hard work when doing the things he loved. He had a passion for woodwork and built some pretty unique things. Milt made his living in construction and loved tinkering on anything motorized. He had a soft spot for animals and most of all, his dog, Red. Milt was known to take Red everywhere he possibly could and a lot of the time, Milt would even let him ride shotgun.

Milt leaves behind his father, Monte Alley; brother, Mac (Brittni) Alley & their children, Preston and soon to be McCoy; sister, Miranda (Kevin) Hennessy & their children, Tavia, Farrah, Staisha, Rose, Gatlin, Yvonne & Ida; brother, Justin Davis (Tania) and Justin’s children, Sutter & Bristol; sister, Shantel (Zack) Weidner and their children Cyrus, Brock, Vance & Jasper; brother, Buster Alley; sister, Sami (Jerry) Alley and their children, JD, James & Leah; sister, Nikki (Justin) Erickson and their children, Madelyn, Wyatt, Payton & Ryder; maternal grandparents, Rebecca (Mike) Butler & Rebecca’s former spouse, Steve Christensen as well as countless cousins, friends & family.

Milt is predeceased by his mother, Shannon Alley; brother, Hoss Alley; nephew Ripyn Davis and paternal grandparents, Sterling and Madelyn Alley.

Memorial services will be held on July 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at one of Milt’s favorite spots, overlooking the river across the street from the Youren Arena rodeo grounds on Anderson Creek Rd. in Garden Valley, Idaho
