Obituary

Michael "Mike" Joseph Clure, Sr. was called home, joining his wife, Margo, in the heavens on March 26, 2023.
Mike was born in Sonora, California on August 9, 1953, to Kenneth and Patricia Clure. Mike had 5 sisters and one brother.  His family lived in Williams, CA until he was about 10 years old then they moved to Prineville, OR where they lived for about 6 years.  The family then transplanted to Nampa, ID. Shortly after the move, Mike began working for Lammey Farms as a teenager, who he continued to work for off and on for the next 5 decades.
Mike married his first wife, Cindy, as a young man and they were blessed with two sons, Chris Clure in 1972 and Anthony Clure in 1973.
From 1972-78 Mike proudly served his country in the National Guard.
Mike married the love of his life, Margo, on November 7, 1976, and never looked back. He raised her son, Leonard Holmquist, Jr., as his own and they were blessed with another son, Mikey Clure, Jr. in 1977.  Mike and Margo lived in Nampa, Caldwell, and Middleton while the boys were young but finally settled down in Horseshoe Bend in 1983.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Margo; his parents, Kenneth and Patricia Clure; and two siblings, Patricia Hernandez and Kenneth Clure Jr.
He is survived by his three sons, Chris Clure, Anthony Clure, Mikey Clure Jr.; stepson, Leonard Holmquist; eight grandchildren; and five siblings, Billie Mitchell, Lee Dobbs, Linda Clure, Gerrie Ozmer, and Trisha Garrity.
Mike enjoyed the outdoors and had a contagious chuckle for a well-timed joke. He found his passion for driving truck as a young man and drove logging trucks for Renfro Logging for about 30 years. He also drove long haul and farming trucks over the years. On occasion, a person might also find him behind the wheel of agricultural or heavy equipment as the need arose.
Mike was known as the “man with the tools” that family called whenever a handyman was needed. If Mike didn’t know how to fix it, they knew they were in trouble. Mike loved putting his skills to use and was always there when someone needed him. Mike also volunteered as an EMT and driver for the Horseshoe Bend ambulance for several years. He was a hard worker and had a heart of gold.
Everyone who knew Mike will now have a void in their life but, they will never forget him. Now that Mike and Margo are together again, there’s sure to be some mischief on the horizon.
