Mary Lou Snow returned home to her Heavenly Father on February 14, 2023, at the age of 79, just a few weeks shy of her 80th birthday. She passed away in her home in Emmett, Idaho, after a long, hard battle with her health.
Mary Lou was born on March 2, 1943, in Torrance, California, to George and Jimmie Lou Aquino. She grew up in Los Angeles, California, enjoying and excelling at all her favorite pastimes, including pairs artistic roller skating and synchronized swimming. She married Guy Patsy Settimio and later divorced. She later moved to Idaho and married David Victor Nielsen. He tragically died in 1977. Later, Mary Lou met and married the love of her life, Loyal Lynn Snow. They were married on March 4, 1979, and would have celebrated their 44th anniversary this year.
She was employed as a receptionist and secretary, including working many years for St. Luke’s central scheduling. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, talking to her children over Zoom, ceramics, reading, and amassing her vast collection of movies. She had the most beautiful handwriting.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her Father George Arthur Aquino and is survived by her adoring husband, Loyal Lynn Snow; her mother, Jimmie Lou Aquino; her five children: Guylenne (Craig) Sellers, Kathy (Matthew) McCauley, Scott (Tammy) Snow, Mike (Virginia) Snow and Meichell Snow; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Letha, Idaho, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Mary Lou will be buried in the Emmett Cemetery.
