Mary Brown

  Mary Josephine Brown peacefully passed away at her home in Emmett, ID on May 21, 2024. She was born on April 24 ,1925 to Joe and Alice Williams on a family farm in Macon, MO. She learned at an early age to work hard and did so for many years. Mary was very active in her life, always looking for a new adventure. She played in and sang at barn dances, raised and showed Arabian horses, was part of several bowling leagues, and rode motorcycles.  She had a zest for life and wanted to live every moment. She worked full time while raising 8 children.  She loved having babies and having LOTS of animals. She lived in MO, CO, CA, MT, and ID.
  She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alice Williams; brother, Herschel; grandson, John Jr; and daughters, Alicia Marlene and Mary Alice. 
  She is survived by her children, Joanne Mc Peters and her family of N.C., Gary (Sherri) Painter and family of CA, Lily Brower (Larry) and family of MT, Ben (Dorthi) Painter and family of CA, Levoy Painter and family of ID, James Brown and family of CA; 18 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.
  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Potter Funeral Chapel. 
  Arrangements are under the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel.
