Martin "Jake" Paul Wyant

  Martin Paul Wyant, AKA Jake Wyant, was born September 9,1954 and passed away December 26, 2025 at 71 years old. He was born and raised in Emmett, Idaho.
   "Jake" raised 4 children: Kim, Jody, Jacob, and Curtis. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Joshua, Kaleb, and Trever Mahurin & Estrella and Victor Zaragoza.
   Jake was married to the love of his life for 44 years. To many, their names were inseparable. They would do everything together such as hunting, rock hounding, and Huckleberry picking. He was a loving father and the best grandpa anyone could ask for. He was very proud of his work for the county as the Superintendent of Gem County Weed Control.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Wyant; parents, Paul and Lena Mae Wyant; and sister, Paulette Pulley.  Jake is survived by his brothers, Steve, Jeff, and John.
   Services will be held at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM with interment following at the Ola Cemetery. Viewing will be at the Potter Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 2, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
