Marjorie Ann (Furze) Nemeth, 68, of Emmett, ID, died March 2, 2023.
Born June 26, 1954, to George and Barbara Furze, Marjorie was raised in Taunton, MA and graduated from Cassidy High School and Bridgewater State University.
Marge moved to Big Bear, CA in 1976 and married Rick Nemeth in 1981. In June of 1987 they had their daughter Krista. She was a wonderful mother. Marge cherished her annual trips to Ft. Myers, FL where she would walk the beach and search for shells and watch Jeopardy with her family. Marge was an empathetic listener who truly listened and offered objective advice.
For decades, she loved working in the restaurant industry as a server. Her customers enjoyed spending time with her because of her contagious laugh. Marge enjoyed gardening. After brain surgery in 2006, which impacted her mobility, Rick bought pots for the deck so they could continue to garden. Marge cared deeply for animals, but cats were her favorite.
In 2018, Marge and Rick moved to Idaho to be near their daughter, son-in-law, and family. Marge adored her granddaughters and enjoyed watching them try new activities. She was their biggest fan.
As Maya Angelou once said: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Marge's family and friends will never forget how she made them feel: heard, appreciated, and loved.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, George and Barbara Furze; her son, Christopher; and brother-in-law, Joe Canning.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; daughter, Krista (Chris) Oesterreich of Sweet, ID; sister, Janet Canning of Taunton, MA; brother, Stephen (Jayne) Furze Rehoboth, MA; mother-in-law, Donna Nemeth of Santee, CA; father-in-law, John Nemeth of San Bernardino, CA; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Savannah and Abigail Oesterreich; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 3, 2023, in Big Bear Lake, CA.
