Margie Melody Legg, 64, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away on January 29, 2024. She was surrounded by her family and friends in her home after battling cancer. Margie was born in Emmett, Idaho on April 12, 1959, to Roy and Genevia Legg.
Margie was the youngest of five children. She grew up loving life, family, and her animals which shaped her into the caring and beautiful person she became. She has been employed by Pacific Intermountain Mortage Company for the past twenty-plus years, doing farm and ranch loans. On Tuesdays, Margie would work for the Seven Rivers Livestock Commission. In her spare time, she ran her own ranch and raised cattle, horses, and dogs. She even had her own Seven Mile Slough Club.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry. She is survived by her sons Cody Cronquist (Bonnie) of Emmett, Idaho, and Chace Iverson (Emily) of Pony, Montana. She has four grandchildren; Cailey Mae and Cayden Cronquist, Burkly and Bonner Iverson. She also left behind three siblings, Ronnie Legg, Tom Legg (Connie), and Marcia Kaiser (Steve), and several nieces and nephews. She left behind her two trusty companions, Ruff and Dash.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the people who visited Margie, brought gifts and flowers, and helped with her care. A big thanks goes to Lisa Thomas with Horizons Home Health and to Tucker Mason for helping out at the ranch for the last four years.
A celebration of Life will be held on February 4, 2024, at Willow Grove Event Center at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Gem-Boise Youth Livestock Auction in Margie’s name.
