MARY KERSHNER - WILSON Obituary

Mrs. Mary Jane (Kershner) Wilson, 93, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away at her home on March 17, 2020.

Mary was the only child of Eunice and James Leichliter. She was born in Hailey, Idaho, on July 15, 1926.

Mary was born and raised in Hailey Idaho. She graduated from the Hailey High School. She met Thomas Edward Peck from Carry, Idaho, and they were married for 18 years. Ed and Mary had two sons Thomas Gary Peck and James Edward Peck. By trade, Mary was a cook and managed a fruit orchard and meat cutting plant. She worked in many restaurants throughout her life. When Mary was 38 years old, she met the love of her life, George Kershner, and moved to Emmett, Idaho, where their only son, Michael Kershner, was born. Mary and George were married for 15 years. Many years after George's death, Mary met and married Glenn Wilson of Emmett Idaho.

Mary belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she kept herself busy as an Usher, Greeter, and liked to help out with Lenten Lunches. Mary also loved to be at the Senior Center, playing cards, cooking, or just helping prepare lunches ready.

Mary's laughter, stubbornness, and a knack for chewing your tail-end out for just about anything big or small will be greatly missed by her son's Gary (Loretta), Melba, and Michael (Sue) Emmett, along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by James Edward Peck, George Kershner, Glen Wilson, James Edward Leichliter, and Eunice Brassee Leichilter. Her legacy will live on today in the hearts of her sons, Gary & Loretta Peck and Mike and Sue Kershner. In the hearts of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

 Shorty will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Emmett Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22nd from 6 to 8 pm at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
