Louis "Lou" Warren Obituary

  Louis Milton Warren was born in Chicago, IL on April 11, 1935 to Chester and Eula Warren.  He lived in Naperville, IL until age 10 when his family moved to Denver, CO.  He graduated from South High School and enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending church, and delivering newspapers on his bicycle come rain or snow for the Denver Post.  He was named the carrier of the year by the Denver Post.
  In 1957, Louis graduated from La Verne College (now the University of La Verne) with a bachelor's degree in business administration.  He joined the U.S. Army in 1958 serving two years on active duty and 11 years in the Army Reserves.  After active duty, Louis purchased an automotive parts and machine shop and started Warren Automotive in Pomona, CA.  Louis worked on high end race car engines throughout the 25-years he owned the business.
Lou married Marilyn Petersen in 1981 in Big Bear Lake, CA where they lived for 18 years.  
  During this time, Lou was the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Big Bear Lake and was also an active member of Big Bear Search and Rescue.  In 1997, Lou and Marilyn moved to Bend, OR and then in 2010, they moved to Emmett, ID to be closer to family and friends.
  Louis is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 42 years; his sister, Naomi Walker of Alamogordo, NM; his son, Mark Warren (Debbie) of Dunn Loring, VA; his daughter, Shay Feinstein (Josh) of Santa Rosa, CA; step-daughter, Corinn Topoleski (Matt) of Redlands, CA; step-son, Mike Petersen (JaNice) of El Dorado Springs, MO; step-son, Ron Petersen (Sonya) of Cole Camp, MO and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Mark Petersen of Lincoln, MO.
  Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, March 7, 2024.  Rosary will be at 10:30 AM with the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, followed by dinner.
