Lois Jeanne Manee passed away quietly at her home in Ola, Idaho on February 15, 2020 surrounded by family. She was 83 and in the care of St. Luke’s hospice. She was born August 9th,1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota and adopted by Roscoe & Ella Siple.
Lois was raised in Granite Falls, MN. While in the 3rd grade, Lois met a fellow classmate, Bill Manee. They graduated from Granite Falls High School together in 1954. On July 14th, 1954 she married Bill and they enjoyed 65 years together. They raised 4 children, Katherine, Mary, Dan & David.
Lois was a homemaker and farm wife in Minnesota where they raised angus cattle & crops. They took many horse packing trips out west over the years and in 1979 decided to move to Eagle, Idaho. They later moved to Ola in 1994.
Lois was active in the Ola community which included the Ola Ladies Club, Ola Library and the Ola Community Church. She loved all animals and had a green thumb for all types of plants.
Lois is survived by her husband Bill, their children Mary Clark, Dan (Kris), David (Stephanie) 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by their daughter, Katherine; her parents and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Ola Community Church with urn burial to follow at the Ola Cemetery in Ola, Idaho. A luncheon will follow at the Ola Fire Station hosted by the Ola Ladies Club. Services are in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel.
