Margaret Lillian Super passed away June 2, 2026 in Omak, WA at the remarkable age of 99 years, 7 months and 13 days.
Lillian was born on October 20, 1926 in Emmett, ID to Herman and Cora Holman.
She worked as a bookkeeper for many years while raising her four boys. Mom always had a garden, did a lot of canning and penny pinching to feed her family. Mom was fiercely independent and stubborn which was a Holman and Super trait!! She was a voracious crossword solver and outstanding at Scrabble. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, fishing, Big Band music, old movies, margarita Fridays and going to the casinos. From an early age, her sons, their friends and nieces & nephews knew to stay on her good side.
In 1946, Lillian married George Super. They were married for 68 years until his passing in 2015. She outlived her six siblings. She is survived by her four boys, Don (Lorah), Jim (Janet), Gary, Joe (Racheal) and her bonus sons Tee and Ricky. The extended family includes fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George, whom she took care of until his passing; all six of her siblings and many family members.
Since Mom and Dad are finally reunited, there will be a graveside service on their anniversary, Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 3:00 PM, at the Emmett Cemetery. Following the service, there will be a reception at the Elements Kitchen & Bar, located at 1825 ID-16 in Emmett, to share memories and celebrate her beautiful life that was well lived.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the VFW post 4900, P.O. Box 1 Emmett, ID 83617.
