Leonard C. Rogers passed away on Friday May 6, 2021 at home with his family and hospice aide Tracy by his side. Leonard was born on July 5, 1933 at Morland, Kansas to Clarence and Fern Enright Rogers.
At the age of 3 during the dust bowl days his family traveled to Idaho. Leonard graduated from Emmett High School in 1952. He married Bernice Helmick on April 25, 1953. He worked several jobs and retired after 40 years from Boise Cascade Sawmill in 1995. Leonard enjoyed many activities with his family including boating, fishing at Anderson Ranch, hunting, racing cars with his son, riding horses, and many Jackpot trips, cruises and vacations.
Leonard was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda; his sister, Darline Bowers; an infant brother, and his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernice, of 68 years; son, Steve (Brenda) Rogers; grandchildren, Christopher Rogers, Heather and Josh Wood; a great granddaughter, Lilly Rogers; sister, Crystal Book, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing was held on May 9. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Emmett Cemetery.
