Lena Gazzam

 Lena Gazzam, 70, died at her home in Sweet, ID surrounded by loved ones on November 26th, 2020.  She was born on June 18th, 1950 in Longview, WA to Louis and Viola Rasmussen.

 Lena graduated Kalama High School in 1968, and married Russ Bender in February 1969.  The Army stationed Russ in Germany where their son, Ty, was born in April 1970.  They returned to Kalama until Russ finished his service.  They moved to Alaska in 1973, and their daughter, Heather, was born in August 1974.  They returned to Washington in 1976, and relocated to Madras, Oregon in 1979.

 Lena was widowed in May 1986.  She and the kids moved back to Kalama, WA in July 1986.  She met Bob (Robert) and their love story began.  They spent many happy years in Kalama until they relocated to Sweet, Idaho in June 2018.  

 She is survived by her husband, Robert Gazzam; her son, Ty Bender; her daughters, Heather (Jim) Bunting and Stacy (Kelly) Anderson; grandchildren, Cody Bender, Mason (Rebecca) Jaillett, Katelynn Burns, and Lexie (Jake) Gentry, and siblings, Gary (Luanna) Rasmussen and Kristine (Chris) Crispel.

 She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

 Services will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel with graveside service to follow at Sweet Cemetery.
