Kristina Marie (Schreiner) Rowley

Kristina Rowley, age 39, passed away from injuries sustained in a tragic accident on Hwy 55 north of Eagle, Idaho on August 9, 2022.  She was born August 28, 1982, to Mike Schreiner and Marie (Schreiner) Owens in Boise, Idaho.

Kristina grew up in Boise and attended McMillan Elementary, Lowell Scott Middle School and graduated from Centennial High School in 2000. During her senior year she was one of three Drum Majors leading the band to win the District III Competition. She attended Ricks College the summer of August 2001 when the college transitioned from a Junior College to a four-year institution and the name changed to BYU-Idaho. She studied nursing at BYU-I and then decided to change her major to Dental Assisting and was accepted at Boise State University where she received her Associates Degree.

She worked as a Dental Assistant in Boise, Provo, UT and Cascade.  She also worked at the Recreation Center in Cascade and then pursued a position with the Cascade School District. She loved working at Cascade Schools and decided she wanted to teach. Currently she was an Art Teacher teaching K-12 students and pursuing her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification at Boise State University. She would have received her degree from BSU in December 2022. She was extremely creative, and this was her dream job.  She loved the students, and they loved her.  She encouraged them to do their best while teaching not only art, photography, yearbook, and more, but life-long skills emphasizing treating others with kindness. She also worked on many community projects and served in several leadership positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. 

On April 25, 2003, she was married for time and eternity to her sweetheart, Chris Rowley, in the Boise Idaho Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was very Christ-like and a joy to be with. She gave her all in whatever she endeavored to do.  She loved everyone, especially her family. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and friend to all those she met.  She served others with all her might, mind, and strength.

Kristina was preceded in death by her father, Mike Schreiner. She is survived by her husband, Chris Rowley; her three children, Megan, Carson and Hannah; her mother, Marie Owens and stepfather Rod Owens;  her brother, Jeff Schreiner; her grandmothers, Melba Beck and Peggy Schreiner; her husband’s parents, Marvin and Laree Rowley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Josh (Mindy) Rowley, Mike (Rose) Rowley, Shawnette (Donald) Ramos, Astasia (Jeff) Catanzaro, Daniel (Kim) Rowley, Devin (Sarah) Rowley, Derrick (Rebecca) Rowley, Shanda (Kaleb) Cornell; her stepsiblings, Ryan (Dina) Owens, Kimberly Owens, Brad (Cathy) Owens, Amy (Mike) Miller, Adam Owens (Michelle Beaver), Heather (Jesse) Carpenter, and Alex Owens (Heather Strand) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Chapel (228 E. Main St. Emmett, Idaho 83617).  Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (980 W. Central Rd. Emmett, Idaho 83617) with viewing available the hour prior to the start of services.  Burial will take place the same day at 5:00 p.m. at the Margaret Cemetery in Cascade.
