It is with a very heavy heart and great sorrow that we have lost our mom. She passed away after a lengthy illness on August 15, 2025, at 3:50 PM with Tim, Dinita and Kori at her side.
We cannot express how proud we are of all her accomplishments and how darned talented she was. She was a wonderful, loving and caring Mom and Nana. She is survived by her son, Timothy Spracher; daughters, Dinita Spracher and Korina Gillam; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mom was born in Fallon, NV and she learned the love of music in 3rd grade when she began piano lessons. In her teenage years she sang with the Rainbow Girls. She played piano with her dad's band at around the age of 18-20. Her dad played the drums and Vernon played the sax. She later married Michael Spracher and after several years we all moved to California. Mom did some photography and some articles for the local paper while in Lodi. She also played the piano and joined a quartet.
Mom went back to school after her children were grown where she learned more about photography, art & then getting a degree and becoming a psychotherapist. She retired after several years of being a therapist and moved from California to Arizona where she was able to pursue her love of doing photography, painting, teaching art therapy classes and so much more. She was a very talented photographer, painter, crafter, teacher, seamstress and writer. Sometimes people would describe her as funny and spicy.
During the last 15 years of her life, she met David Smith - her soulmate whom we all came to love as well. The two of them moved to Idaho to be closer to family in 2014. Then Mom & David were off on their biggest adventure across the USA in the 40' motorhome (nicknamed the Beav) On occasion, we sometimes joined on a couple of their outings. My god, they had a blast together. She made several photo books of their adventures which we will treasure forever. We will be the new keepers of the family history and photos until it's our time to pass them on to our kids. She has inspired many and we will miss her so very much!
