Jose Arguello Obituary

 Jose B. Arguello passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2024 with his daughter Corina and his grandsons by his side at the age of 74. He was born in San Juan, Texas October 12, 1949 to Benigno and Ramona Arguello. 
 His family traveled to many places for work at "campos" picking anything from strawberries, cherries, blueberries and so on. Jose started working at a young age to help his family get ahead in life. 
 He met his sweetheart Gregoria Hernandez during those years working in the "campos" and eventually they got married September 6, 1970 and their first child soon followed, a son April '71. They had two more children daughters February '75 and June '80. 
 He worked at Carlton Plants for several years before being diagnosed with Parkinsons disease in 2004. During his time at Carlton Plants he met several people who became life long friends. 
 Parkinsons began taking a toll so Jose eventually had to retire. Jose enjoyed going to the casino with his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed music very much. He would always be listening to music and made sure that those around him knew the artist as he danced to the music. 
 Jose was a great man who loved joking around with everyone. His brothers gave him the nickname "Bear" and his work friends gave him the nickname "Topo".
 Jose enjoyed many things especially family get together at his house for the holidays or just cause bbq's. He enjoyed dancing, playing pool, listening to music, also going hunting with family to Prineville, OR.
  He had 8 brothers and 4 sisters. He was a great man with a big heart. 
  He was proceeded in death by his parents Benigno and Ramona Arguello, brothers Casey, Pancho, Gilbert, and sister-in-law Elva, cousins Juanita, Ruben, Josefina, and Lito. 
  He is survived by his ex-wife Gregoria Hernandez; daughters, Corina (Manolo) Lara-Arguello, Michelle Arguello (Oscar); son, Joe (Holly) Arguello as well as brothers and their spouses Pedro (Linda), Porfirio, Mario (Vicky), Israel, Mando; sisters and their spouses, Guadalupe (Jorge), Flora (Jose), Maria, and Maggie, several nieces and nephews, 4 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, 5 great granddaughters, 1 great grandson, and 1 more on the way 2024. He will be truly missed.
 Viewing with a Rosary will be Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel with services following the next day, January 17 at 11:00 AM at the Potter Funeral Chapel.  Burial to follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
