John A. "Bud" Brotherson

 On Wednesday, January 13, 2021 John Ardell “Bud” Brotherson passed away at the age of 87.

 Bud was born April 16, 1933 in Meridian, Idaho to John and Iva Brotherson. He attended school in Meridian, He joined the army and served from 1953-1955. Upon returning he worked construction. On October 20, 1963 he married Joan McNeff Snider who brought two sons, Eddie and Johnny into their union. Bud had a daughter, Stacy Lee, from a previous marriage. Together they started out as a family of 5. Later they welcomed two more sons, David and Doug.

 After retiring, Bud returned to his love of farming and ranching.

 Bud was preceded in death by his wife Joan, his father and mother, and four older sisters. He is survived by his children, Eddie (Becky) Snider, Johnny Snider, Stacy (Monty) Calhoun, David (Dawn) Brotherson, Doug (Sherry) Brotherson. As well as 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

 A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 21 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Potter Funeral Chapel 228 E Main Street in Emmett, Idaho. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021  at the Emmett Cemetery.
