John B. Ballance

  John B. Ballance passed away in Boise, Idaho on February 17, 2025 leaving behind a wife, Harriet, and various other family member who will miss him very much.
  John was born August 30, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He grew up as JB Nelson and when his mother remarried, he became Ballance.  He had to be adopted before joining the Army.
  When John passed, he took with him his loud voice, from his years in the Army where he rose to the rank of Sgt Major. John made a living in his full-time job of delivering mail in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was a busy man.  He and Harriet spent 17 years volunteering at the Garden City Police Department.
  John loved 1000-piece puzzles and wouldn’t touch a smaller one.  He did not like crossword puzzles and exercise was a dirty word.  
  Services for John will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 18, 2025 under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
