Jesus "Jesse" Gonzalez Obituary

Jesus Osorio Gonzalez “Jesse” passed on to be with our Heavenly Father on September 27, 2022.  After 5 years, his courageous battle with cancer came to an end at the age of 65, surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Jesse was born on July 6, 1957, to Francisco and Maria Osorio in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.  Jesse grew up in Mexicali spending time with his friends in the barrio where his love of music began.  He would travel to Mexico City with bands like Los Benny’s and Los Muecas where he would help with their instruments.  Jesse enjoyed hosting parties where he would play his music and sing karaoke.  He also had a passion for playing soccer and was an amazing goalkeeper.
As a young man, Jesse made the decision to move to the United States spending time in California and ultimately moving to Idaho.  He began work for Quijas Reforestation where he spent over 30 years helping to renew forest growth by planting young trees.  He spent his last years working as a truck driver delivering baby calves for various dairies in Kuna and Jerome.  His work ethic was admired by many, and he formed lifelong friendships with his crew members and coworkers.  He had the capability to make anyone laugh and feel loved.
Jesse met his loving wife, Etelvina, in 1993.  They began their lives together in Emmett and married January 6, 1998.  They spent their time traveling to Mexico, California and Oregon to see family.  They enjoyed going to dances and spending time together at home watching novellas.  She loved him with all her heart and feels blessed for the life they lived.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Candelario Osorio and his grandson SPC Michael T. Osorio (son of David).
Jesse is survived by his wife, Etelvina Osorio; his children, David (Jennifer) Osorio, Racheal (Jake) Dobson, Isabel (Jake) Harper, Tony (Erin) Osorio, Matthew (Kristin) Osorio, Mariana (Rey) Osorio and Vanessa Osorio.  He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; his mother, Maria Osorio; his siblings, Gonzalo (Esperanza) Osorio, Martha (Mariano) Reyes, Francisco (Blanca) Osorio, Arturo (Lupe) Osorio, Lupe (Rogelio) Rodriguez, Alicia Osorio, Chavela Osorio, Rosa Osorio, Eduardo (Anahi) Osorio, Blanca Estella (Ricardo) Islas, many nieces and nephews and a huge network of family and friends.
Viewings will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 6:00 – 10:00 PM and Sunday, the 2nd, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, both at the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.  Rosary will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emmett with the Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
