Jeannie Louise Johnston, born December 16, 1957, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born to Orval “Casey” Johnston and Joan (Radandt) Johnston, Jeannie grew up surrounded by love and carried that warmth with her throughout her life. She was a woman of grace and quiet wisdom — known for her compassion, generosity, and the deep care she showed to everyone around her.
Jeannie had a special love for older people, a calling that began in high school when she volunteered as a candy striper at Walter Knox Memorial Hospital. That early experience blossomed into a lifelong commitment to care, leading to a 23-year career at Walter Knox Memorial Hospital’s medical records department — later known as Valor Health — where she served with dedication and heart.
In Jeannie’s early years, her Aunt Joni joined the family household and became a true sister in spirit. Their bond was filled with laughter, adventures, and treasured times that Jeannie carried with her for as long as she lived.
Jeannie married Bob Thielges August 4, 1979. She was blessed to share her life with Bob, a devoted and loving husband. Bob remained faithfully by Jeannie’s side from beginning to end, offering unwavering love and support until her final moments.
She also had a deep affection for dachshund dogs, beginning with her first beloved companion, Pepper. Her bond with these spirited little dogs reflected her own warmth and loyalty, and they brought her joy and comfort throughout her life.
Jeannie is survived by her wonderful husband, Bob Thielges; her sons, Shawn (Nicole) Thielges and Casey Thielges; her mother, Joan Johnston; and her cherished grandsons, Kayden and Ryder Thielges. She is also survived by her brother, Brent (Lori) Johnston; her uncle, Jerry (Dorothy) Radandt Sr; her aunt, Joni (Dan) Nevers; her aunt, Clara Lee Burkhart; her uncle & aunt, Edward “Butch” & Jan Johnston; her aunt, Shirley Johnston; her very best friend, Bob Veenstra; and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward with love.
Her legacy lives on in the stories shared, the kindness she showed, and the love she gave so freely.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 5, 2025 @ 2:00 PM, at Elements Kitchen & Bar, located at 1825 Highway 16, Emmett, Idaho. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Jeannie’s beautiful life.
