Jean Marie (Smith) Feaster

  Our loving mother Jean Marie Feaster, of Emmett Idaho, passed away July 12, 2025. Jean was born in Cuba, NY on November 28, 1936 to parents Sterns Kenneth and Irene Hattie Smith. She later married her favorite subject in high school, Ken Feaster, moved to Idaho and started a family. They later divorced but she was blessed with four children, Mark, Steven, Jeffery, and Angela. 
  Jean built a meaningful career as a nurse at Walter Knox Hospital, and many years in private practice with Dr. Holverson’s and Deborah Casdorph's office.  She loved her work and was known for her compassion. Her favorite part of the job was always the baby nursery. It brought her so much joy to help new babies and connect with new mothers. 
  Jean was a dedicated mother to her children and grandmother to her grandkids. She would do anything for any of us. Her love for us will go on forever. She loved her gardens and her flowers. It was a passion to keep her yard clean of every fallen leaf and her flowers always in bloom.
  She is survived by sons, Mark Feaster, Steven Feaster, Jeffrey Feaster, daughter Angela (Richard) Mattingly, all of Emmett; grandchildren, Nicholas, Sara (Hayden), McKenna (Korbon), Hannah, Nathan (Emily), and Gabriel; great granddaughters OakLee and Isla.
  A graveside service will be held on July 24, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emmett Cemetery.  Friends are welcome to attend.  Arrangements are in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel.
