James "Jim" Allen Baker

James (Jim) Allen Baker was born on July 19, 1947 in Long Beach, California. It is with deep sorrow to all that knew him to announce Jim passed away on May, 29th 2020, doing what he loved most in retirement, playing golf.

Jim spent the majority of his working years as a commercial fisherman of 34yrs. He was part of the Newport Beach Historic Dory Fleet in California from 1979 to 2013. He and wife, Janice, retired to Emmitt, Idaho. His retirement years have been spent playing golf, winning senior tournaments, or placing a bet or two on a golf game with his dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Marion and Rosemary Baker, and his brother, Robert Baker. He is survived in death by his wife, Janice, of 38 years; a son, James Baker; a daughter, Jammie Hayes and her husband, Paul, and 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by family and friends across the U.S.
