Jackie "Jack" St Germain Obituary

Jack St Germain, 85 passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2023, with his family by his side.  Jack was born on September 21, 1937, to Jack and Gertrude St Germain in Council Idaho.  He attended school in Emmett.  After high school he went into the U.S. Navy where he served form 1957-1961 on the USS Ranger.  He then started working for Boise Cascade Corporation retiring in 1998.  Upon his retirement he worked for Bright Excavating for several years.  He was a member of the Black Canyon Bowmen and the Idaho State Bowhunters for many years.
Jack married Ilene Shipley on October 2, 1960, in Nevada.  They made their home in Emmett.
He loved the mountains and was an avid outdoorsman.  He was always in pursuit of that big Mule Deer Buck.  His big success was getting the opportunity to hunt in Alaska and take a caribou with his bow.  He loved the spring of the year tending to newborn calves and watching the Canadian geese goslings feed in the pasture and swim in the canal.
Jack is survived by his wife, Ilene; a daughter and her husband Sandi and Shane Paul of Whitebird; his son and his wife, Marty and Judy St Germain of Emmett.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Gertrude St Germain; brother, Doug St Germain and sisters, Dianna Wines, Carol Browning and Enid Kroush.
Services were held Tuesday, March 21, at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery. Arrangements were cared for by the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
