Obituary

 Jack D. Hansen, 97, passed away January 4, 2022 at his home in Emmett, Idaho.  Jack was born December 3, 1924 in Goshen, Utah to Alvin D. and Deon Hansen.  He attended grade school in Goshen, then graduated high school in Payson, Utah.

 Jack served in the United States Army during World War II, in the European theater and then in the Philippines.  He returned home April of 1946 and married his sweetheart, Barbara Staheli on July 15, 1946 in Payson, Utah.  They were later sealed in the Boise Idaho Temple.

 Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents; a son, Joe Douglas Hansen; brothers, Bert and Aldin Hansen; grandchildren, Dirk Walker, Andrew Hansen and Destiny Duman.

 Jack is survived by a son, George (Linda) Hansen; daughters, Karrie (Rod) Walker and Shelly (Dan) Duman; a sister, Wanda Shafer; 12 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Letha.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett and one hour prior to services at the Church on Thursday.  Burial will follow at the Bramwell Cemetery.
