Jacinta Sanchez-Cuevas

  Jacinta Sánchez, 94, Caldwell, ID. Passed away peacefully June 09, 2024. Born July 17, 1929 to Lorenzo Sanchez Magana and Maria Guadalupe Sanchez Cuevas in Tumbiscatio, Michoacán, Mexico.
  Growing up Jacinta was always very devoted to the Catholic Religion.  Jacinta was always very family oriented, a hard worker, and an overall strong woman. She never let any obstacle stop her. She’s overcome numerous surgeries, life events, and any hardships she’s come across. Jacinta was a trooper. She gave it her all until her last breath. No room was ever dull while she was in it. She was always the life of the party with her lovely singing, clapping, storytelling, and contagious and everlasting laugh. Her eyes always had that glimmer making anybody's day that much better.    Jacinta is survived by her brother Adalid Sanchez Cuevas; her only daughter Gerarda (Juan); 9 grandchildren, Alejandro, Ann Carol, Baltazar, Andrés, Erika, Manuel, Carlos, Esmeralda, and Juan Jr.); 26 great grandchildren; and 10 furry grandchildren. Along with her only child, she had additional children whom she took in as her own, Magdalena Sanchez, Abelino Sanchez, and Lorenzo Sanchez. These additional children blessed her with 12 bonus grandchildren, Erik, Fernando, Martin, Ana, Jose Luis, Stephani, Eros, Brayan, Yaritza, Nicole, Paolo, Gloria; 9 bonus great grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
  A Rosary and viewing will be held at Potter Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 211 E. 1st St., Emmett, ID on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
