Ida "Joyce" Pruitte

  Ida Joyce (Hartley) Pruitte, 92, passed away May 8, 2023 in Kennewick, WA.  She was born to Joshua and Melissa DeGraw Hartley on November 18,1930, in Letha, ID, at her aunt’s home.
  Joyce was a lifelong resident of Emmett until she needed advanced care and moved to Kennewick WA, for the last few years but always considered Emmett home.
Joyce worked several jobs in the lumber industry before moving onto the grocery business. She worked in Emmett and Nampa. She liked her job but didn’t really care for dealing with the customers on a daily basis.
  Joyce filled the space of a father to her boys as she would take them fishing, hunting and camping. She enjoyed reading and watching Dodger baseball. But the greatest joy for Joyce was having her family around her.
  Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her only daughter, Paula; youngest son, Mitchell and three sisters. Joyce is survived by her son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Lori; son-in-law, John M; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
  Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM at the Emmett Cemetery on Friday, May 12, 2023. Viewing will be the night prior from 5:00-7:00 at the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
